Building Financial Confidence Since 2018

We started jolperaxiven because too many people felt lost when it came to managing their money. Not because they weren't smart enough. But because no one ever sat down and explained the basics in a way that actually made sense.

Seven years later, we're still doing exactly that. Teaching everyday Australians how to take control of their finances without the jargon, without the pressure, and definitely without pretending it's more complicated than it needs to be.

What We Actually Stand For

These aren't just nice words we put on a website. They're the principles that guide every course we create and every conversation we have with our students.

No Shortcuts or Gimmicks

Financial stability takes time. Anyone promising overnight wealth is selling you something. We focus on building habits that work over years, not weeks.

Real Talk Only

We explain things the way we'd explain them to a mate over coffee. If something sounds too complex, we'll break it down until it clicks. And if we don't know something, we'll tell you that too.

Your Goals, Not Ours

Some people want to buy a house. Others want to travel more. Maybe you just want to stop feeling anxious about money. Whatever matters to you is what we'll help you work towards.

The Person Behind the Programs

I spent fifteen years working in financial services before realizing something was broken. People would come to us after making decisions they didn't understand, signing up for products that didn't fit their situation. The problem wasn't their intelligence. It was that no one had taught them the fundamentals.

So in 2018, I left my job and started jolperaxiven. The idea was simple: create educational programs that teach people how money actually works before they need to make big decisions about it. Start with budgeting basics, move through saving strategies, explain how debt really affects your options.

Our first course had twelve students. Most of them were friends who agreed to try it out. Now we run programs throughout the year across New South Wales, and I still get messages from people telling me they finally feel like they understand their own bank statements.

That's what keeps me doing this work. Not the big wins or dramatic transformations. Just people gaining the confidence to make informed choices about their money.

How Our Programs Work

We keep things straightforward. Each course runs for eight weeks with one evening session per week. You'll get practical exercises, real examples from actual situations, and plenty of time to ask questions.

The content focuses on what you need to know right now. Creating a budget that doesn't fall apart after two weeks. Understanding where your money actually goes. Building an emergency fund that gives you breathing room when something unexpected happens.

No complicated investment strategies. No get-rich-quick schemes. Just the fundamentals that give you a solid foundation to make better financial decisions.

  • Small group sizes so everyone gets individual attention
  • Practical exercises you can use the same day
  • Plain language explanations without the industry jargon
  • Follow-up support after your course ends

Ready to Learn the Basics?

Our next program starts in September 2025. Eight weeks, one evening per week, focused on giving you practical financial skills you can actually use.
